Clean Chemistry’s PeroxyMAX™ IBS is Poised for New Market Expansion as its BluOX™ Platform (BluOX™ 17, BluOX™ 34, and BluOX™ 50), Receives EPA Registrations for Agriculture, Industrial and Municipal Water Treatment Market Uses.
LONGMONT, CO, – December 2, 2025 – Clean Chemistry, Inc., a leader in safer, on-demand chemical solutions, today announced that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted new pesticide registrations for its series of hydrogen peroxide precursor solutions that are used to manufacture PeroxyMAX™ IBS. These registrations, specifically for BluOX™ 17 (Reg. No. 92013-4) and BluOX™ 34 (Reg. No. 92013-5) hydrogen peroxide precursors expand the uses for PeroxyMAX™ IBS in agriculture, post-harvest microbial control, livestock watering systems, municipal wastewater treatment and others. A new EPA registration, BluOX™ 50 (Reg. No. 92013-6), has all the same label claims, but utilizes a more concentrated precursor solution.
The EPA registrations, issued on November 13, 2025, mark a significant regulatory milestone for the company, validating the BluOX – PeroxyMAX IBS platform as an effective solution for microbial control across numerous industrial sectors.
The BluOX™ Generator is a compact chemical generation system that produces PeroxyMAX™ IBS (Industrial Biocide Solution), on-site and on-demand. There are multiple sizes and configurations depending on the size of the operation.
Key Components and Output:
- The BluOX™ Generator uses three precursor feedstocks to produce an odorless peroxyacetic acid solution called PeroxyMAX IBS.
- The BluOX Generator produces PeroxyMAX IBS instantaneously and precisely delivers the chemistry to the application point at the correct concentration.
- The BluOX Generator is completely enclosed, ensuring worker safety.
- The BluOX Generator includes automated safety features and a PLC-controlled system for production, dosing, as well as remote access and control.
Expanded Uses for Microbial Control:
These new EPA registrations cover a broad range of non-public health and specialty applications, including:
- Water Treatment: Bacteria, slime, odor, and algae control in Recirculating Cooling Water systems and Evaporative Coolers.
- Wastewater Treatment: Secondary effluent treatment in public and private wastewater treatment plants and PeroxyMAX IBS may be used effectively in conjunction with Ultraviolet (UV) light systems.
- Agriculture and Horticulture: Control of fungi on growing crops, treatment of irrigation water systems, spray tanks, greenhouses, and hydroponic systems and foliar applications.
- Post-Harvest Applications: Control of spoilage and decay-causing bacteria and fungi on a wide variety of fruits and vegetables.
- Antimicrobial Rinse of Precleaned or New Returnable or Non-Returnable Containers
- Poultry, Swine, Livestock Watering Operating Systems
- Treatment of Harvest Potatoes
- Fogging: Raw Agricultural Commodities
